Local Music Live

"The future of British music is dependent on emerging talent"
Local Music Live is here to discover new music talent
in association with Howarth Timber

We want to hear from you

Local Music Live brings together lots of UK radio stations who love their music LOCAL. Singers, musicians and bands have been loading up their audio, video, pictures, gigs and information and we’ve been working hard to spread the word far and wide.

We're delighted to announce that Local Music Live is now a Sunday night radio show. From 1st October until Xmas Eve 2017 the show can be heard on five radio stations. These are Revolution 96.2 in Oldham, Rochdale and Tamside,  Mansfield 103.2 in Mansfield, Sutton  and Bolsover Bolton FM, Great Yorkshire Radio in North Yorkshire and Radio Yorkshire in West Yorkshire. Click HERE to find out more.

Our sponsors Howarth Timber & Building Supplies have a long history of supporting their local communities and Local Music Live is no different! They've worked with their 30 branches, to give this their full support - they’ve now chosen their favourite and five runners-up.

Howarth Timber’s marketing and product development manager, Neale Brewster, said: “The quality of the entries received made choosing our favourite act a tricky process, but Feliicia caught our attention from the very beginning, and on behalf of Howarth Timber I’d like to congratulate Feliicia and wish her all the best for what I’m sure will be a stellar music career!

The talented singer/songwriter will now record a new track "Head Over Heels" at Redwall Studios in Greater Manchester and create a music video to support her new track with Leeds-based creative agency, Harris Associates. Below is the video of Feliicia's new single Head Over Heels . Chosing the favourite wasn't an easy decision, as the quality of the artists was so high, it took lots of deliberation. That’s why we've decided to highlight some of the other talented singers and bands that caught our eye as part of Local Music Live. Each of these artists will also receive a prize courtesy of our sponsors Howarth Timber.

We’re sure we’re not the only ones who spotted Niamh, a talented singer/songwriter from Skipton. Her beautiful piano-backed ballads are the perfect fit for her wonderful vocal style, and we’re excited to see what’s next for this gifted teenager. Click HERE for her page on Local Music Live.

Finally, Frankie may be one of the youngest artists to submit her music to Local Music Live, but it was her clever lyrics and catchy melodies that made her stand out.  Frankie is a 14-year old singer and multi-instrumentalist from Yorkshire, and we’ll definitely be keeping an eye and ear out for her in the future. Click HERE for her page on Local Music Live.

“The future of British music is dependent on emerging talent, both in performance and business. Securing our future depends on the creation of optimum conditions to support young people to become musicians, songwriters, creative technicians and join over 39,000 others who now have jobs in the music business in the UK."
