Oddity Island

Oddity Island combine elements of indie, folk, shoegaze and psychedelic rock to form a sound different to anything out there at the moment. Formed in early 2017, the band quickly began writing music, and were playing sets filled with their own material as early as two months after finalising their line-up. Frontman Alex Gardner’s entrancing vocals swim amongst a sea of reverb soaked guitars, held together by chunky bass lines and complex unpredictable drum beats. The band kicked off the year releasing debut single Finger Puppets, a momentum building anthem of inner reflection, and have followed it up with the release of debut EP Jellyfish, with track Everyday (Part One) being featured NLive Radio. Having played a multitude of venues throughout their first year as a band, Oddity Island are now looking to make appearances on bigger stages around the country and put themselves on the map in 2018.
